Cause of dry skin

The outermost layer of the skin called the stratum corneum, consists of dead skin cells and oil that helps to keep the skin in humid conditions. This layer serves to retain water, keep skin healthy and moist. but if the stratum corneum is damaged and unable to work hold water, what happens is that dry skin. Habit of bathing with hot water and the use of certain soaps can also remove the natural oils from the skin, making the humidity level diminished. The low level of humidity is often caused by cold weather, hot or dry climates and environmental conditions your home's air-conditioning can also be the cause. Certain drugs case of acne medication, OTC medication allergy and hypertension can cause itching and flaking skin. and the final skin diseases such as eczema can also reduce the level of moisture, even lead to dry spots on the body.
